IP Audits
IP Audit is a funding programme designed to provide the right support to businesses at the right stage in their innovation journey. It provides access to targeted intellectual property advice and support to help SMEs based in Northern Ireland who are existing Invest NI client companies to understand their IP and to develop an IP strategy. If you are considered eligible and are awarded financial assistance, the UKIPO pay £2,250 of the total cost and you contribute the remaining £750.
After you have been awarded funding, Hanna IP will assist you in fully understanding your intangible assets by identifying your actual and potential IP rights, advising whether they are on the face of it registrable, e.g., not explicitly excluded, not disclosed. Our tailored report will summarise all IP that has been discovered and explain how to obtain protection. The report will further highlight how to spot any potential IP threats as well as advising how to maintain records of unregistered rights such as trade secrets and unregistered design rights.
In carrying out an IP Audit, we review your business activities to identify hidden opportunities. Our goal is to seamlessly align your IP management with your medium-to-long-term business plan, helping you drive revenue and support sustained growth to ensure your IP actively protects and supports your entire business.
We will first help you explore whether your company is eligible for a UK government-funded IP Audit. If you do not qualify for the scheme, we can provide an audit at a cost of £3,000 as a practical investment that delivers a significant return by uncovering untapped potential and possible risks, giving you a strategic overview of your intangible assets and clear, actionable advice on how to maximise their commercial value.
There has never been a better time to evaluate your intellectual property assets. Contact us today and we can discuss how we can help you realise potential.
