Isabel is a highly experienced patent and design attorney with over 10 years’ post-qualification expertise advising clients across the UK, Ireland and Europe on patents and designs in the mechanical engineering and chemistry sectors. She is known for delivering clear, commercially focused advice with exceptional attention to detail, helping clients to achieve their objectives efficiently and strategically.

Isabel’s practice covers the full lifecycle of patent protection, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications through to grant, conducting freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, and advising on infringement and validity matters. Isabel regularly works with local inventors, SMEs and foreign associates, managing UK, Irish and European patent portfolios while coordinating international filings with associates in jurisdictions such as the US, Canada, China, Japan and Korea.

Isabel has extensive experience explaining complex patentability requirements in plain English, ensuring clients feel informed and supported throughout the process. She is recognised for her fast response times, strong communication skills and practical strategic insight.

Isabel is a Corporate Member of APTMA, Fellow of CIPA, Member of epi and UNION-IP deputy delegate for Ireland. She also contributes to the work of Union-IP Patents Commission.
